It Is Finished!! Emmaus Bakery

It was a long journey to Emmaus Bakery, Elbasan, Albania. Very long. What should have taken 3 months, took almost a year. I won't repeat my story, because it is time to finish it now. It is done, and it is good. The Home of Hope Bakery is finished :). It will take awhile to become sustainable, but it will happen because it is run by good people with good hearts. Emmaus Bakery has the potential to help Home of Hope Orphanage become less dependent on donors. It has the potential to train youth with business skills that will improve their lives. I am so glad I could be a part of this good work....enjoy the pictures.

HOH hired a professional baker from Greece. His specialty bread is so delicious!

The staff of HOH will be the staff of Emmaus Bakery :)

And hugs and kisses....

And Food!
Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible; who never gave up hope when all seemed impossible; especially to the staff of HOH, Rotarians from London, Be A Smile Foundation from Holland, and Peace Corps.  I learned so much this past year; about myself, about others, about faith, about life and people in general. What a ride is was! And now, it is FINISHED! We present to you, Emmaus Bakery!
